Caramel Sauce

Hi Chefs!

Following is the recipe for a must-have for everyone who is a sweet tooth- "the caramel sauce". It is really easy to make as you will realize from following this really short recipe. I also personally love this sauce because it can be kept refrigerated for quite a long period of time.

Use this sauce in desserts, cakes, icecreams, whatever sweet dish you desire, or just like that!


Ingredients:


Sugar - 1/2cup

Amul cream - 1/2cup

Butter - 1/4cup

Milk - 2-3tbsp

Salt - 1/2tsp


How To Make Caramel Sauce

  1. In a saucepan heat sugar on medium heat.

  2. Let it melt, no need to stir it.

  3. After a while when the sugar melts and gets a beautiful golden color, add butter to it.

  4. Add cream to it and stir it well. (do not panic if small lumps form they will get dissolve )

  5. Add milk and mix well.

  6. Remove the pan from the gas when it starts to thicken.



Some Pro Tips:

  1. As soon as the sugar melts and you get golden color add cream to it.

  2. After adding cream do not leave it unattended otherwise it will burn very quickly.

  3. Caramel Sauce thickens as it cools down.
