Lotus Root/stem grows underwater and is the root of flower lotus. It is a very very versatile substance and is cooked in many variants in different parts of India. It is very healthy and has its own benefits. Here we are going to learn a very popular dish served in restaurants across Asia made using Lotus root/stem. Ingredients:

Lotus Root - 400 gm

Salt - 1.5 tsp

Hot water - as required

Corn flour - 2 tbsp


For Sauce:

Oil - 1 tsp

Garlic crushed - 2 tsp

Green chili - 1 tsp

Corn flour - 1 tsp

Water - 1/4 cup

Salt - acc. to taste

Honey - 2 tbsp

Sesame seeds - 2 tsp

Spring onion - 2 tbsp

Tomato ketchup - 1 tbsp

Soy sauce - 1 tsp

Vinegar - 1 tsp

Black pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
