Hi Chefs!!
Falafel is a popular Middle Eastern fast food. It is made with a mixture of chickpeas, spices, and fresh herbs that are formed into patties or balls. It is commonly served in a pita which serves as a pocket or wrapped in a flatbread known as taboon. You can even make burgers or subs from it. As for the taste, chickpeas do not have any taste of their own. So the primary taste that you get when you take a bite is from the herbs and spices in it. As for the nutrition part, Falafel is a good source of fiber and protein. It is good for diabetic people as it supports healthy blood sugar. Typically it is deep-fried but you may also shallow fry it as we are going to do in my recipe. The falafel itself is vegan so for people who are conscious about dieting it is a good option. But generally, it is wrapped in bread and served with various sauces. So now let us not wait more and learn to make Falafel.
