Pad Thai is a popular Thai dish made using flat rice noodles, variety of vegetables, meat, tofu, Bean sprouts and roasted peanuts. All ingredients are cooked on high flame and mixed with sweet, tangy sauce.
Pad Thai Noodles are a famous street food of Thailand. You may also find these in all Thai restaurants in and around the world. These are quite flavorful and colorful. This is a simple and quick recipe and a complete meal in itself.
Here, we are going to learn the veg version of Pad Thai Noodles with an Indian touch. In this recipe we have used the ingredients which are easily available in Indian market. Follow the step by step detailed recipe to make the best Pad Thai Noodles.
Ingredients:
· Rice noodles – 300 gm
· Garlic – 4-5 (crushed)
· Green onion – 100 gm
· Carrot – 1 cup (julienne)
· Green capsicum – 1/3 cup
· Yellow capsicum – 1/3 cup
· Red capsicum – 1/3 cup
· Broccoli – 10 florets
· Bean sprouts (mix) – 1 cup
· Roasted peanuts – ½ cup (crushed)
· Salt – according to taste
· Oil – 3-4 tbsp
For Sauce:
· Tamarind pulp – ½ cup
· Soy Sauce – ¼ cup
· Red chili sauce – 3-4 tbsp
· Brown sugar – ¼ cup
· Salt – ½ tsp
How To Make Pad Thai Noodles:
1. For Sauce: In a bowl mix all ingredients in the above-mentioned list.
2. Whisk and keep it aside.
3. For Noodles: In a bowl add hot water.
4. Soak rice noodles for about 10 – 15 minutes (or as per the instructions given on pack).
5. In a wok heat oil, add crushed garlic and onion, Sauté for 2 minutes.
6. Add broccoli florets and sauté.
7. Add carrot and little salt, sauté for a while till it is little tender.
8. Add red, green & yellow capsicum and sauté.
9. Add bean sprouts and onion greens, mix them well.
10. Add the prepared sauce according to your taste, mix well.
11. Add rice noodles.
12. Mix and combine everything well and adjust the taste according to your liking.
13. Serve hot and garnish with roasted peanuts.
