Recipe:
After reading all these benefits of protein, I present to you a delicious protein-rich recipe that is easy and quick to make and will be loved by old and the young alike. So here is a one-stop solution to all, “Protein Crepes”. Let us learn how to do it.
Ingredients:
· Split green gram(dal) – 11/4cup
· Grated carrot – 1/2cup (or vegetables of your choice)
· Onion – 1 big (roughly chopped)
· Ginger – 1inch
· Green chili – 2-3 no.
· Kasoori methi (dried fenugreek) – 1tbsp
· Red chili powder – 11/2tsp (acc. to taste)
· Garam masala – 1/2tsp
· Amchoor powder – 11/2tsp
· Heeng (asafetida) – 1/4tsp
· Salt – acc. to taste
Note: you can also add paneer filling to it.
How To Make Crepes:
1. Soak split green gram (dal) overnight or for 4-5 hours.
2. Strain excess water. (Do not throw away the skin of dal as it contains fiber and other nutrients).
3. Add dal with the skin, onion, ginger & green chili to your grinder.
4. Grind them to a coarse paste. (do not add too much water while grinding).
5. Add grated carrot and the rest of the spices to the batter and mix them well.
6. Heat up your non-stick Tawa, apply little oil to it.
7. Take a ladle full of batter and spread evenly on your tawa in a round shape.
8. Sprinkle some oil and when it is done on one side, flip it on another side.
9. When it is done add paneer filling or filling of your choice to it.
10. Serve it hot with ketchup or green chutney.

Some Pro Tips:
1. Do not grind dal to a very fine paste, let it remain a little coarse to have that nutty taste of dal.
2. The batter should not be runny.
3. Do not make crepe too thin (it may harden very soon) or too thick (it may not cook through properly).
4. Adding a paneer filling to it takes the taste to another level.
